For over 4000 years, the five elements water, wood, fire, earth and metal are regarded as the fundamental building blocks of our Universe. Interconnected yet opposing, they support, drain and control each other.
For example, water feeds wood, wood feeds fire, fire feeds earth, earth feeds metal. But wood drains water and its root control the earth, while metal controls wood – it chops it.
Each of us possesses all five elements within us. We are, however, guided by a particular element, that which is bestowed upon us on the day we are born. It is what we call our Day Master.

What is the Daymaster?
Each of us is born with an element that is bestowed on us on the day of our birth. This element governs our lives: our relationships, our career choices, our health, our path.
Our self-element is our Daymaster. It lives in a dynamic relationship with other elements in our unique constellation. It is the permutation of this constellation that determines the element(s) we need and instinctively seek out, to experience a greater sense of well-being in our lives.
